The results of the summer 2007
UK charter airline punctuality season have been released on our special page at
flightontime.info/summer2007.
MyTravel Airways finished in first place during the season for the second consecutive year, closely followed by
Thomsonfly in runner-up position.
It was a close match for first place with less than a minute separating the average delay of the two carriers, although MyTravel Airways had better on-time performance at 79%, a 5% advantage on runner-up Thomsonfly.
Monarch Airlines also picked up the Most Improved UK Charter Airline award in recognition of their significant improvment in punctuality since summer 2006, the airline finishing the season in third place overall.
Improvements in timekeeping were also seen for
Astraeus and
XL Airways, while
Thomas Cook Airlines, runner-up airline for summer 2006, suffered a large drop in punctuality ending the season in 7th position on the league table.
