The average charter flight at Newcastle airport was delayed by around 21 minutes, with 74% on-time performance during the summer 2008 season.
Thomsonfly / First Choice had the best punctuality at the airport with 76% on-time performance and an average delay of 16 minutes.
Thomas Cook Airlines followed with an average delay of 23 minutes, while XL Airways and Monarch Airlines suffered the longest delays, with a high proportion of flights delayed by over an hour (more than a quarter of all flights in the case of Monarch).

MyTravel Airways and Thomsonfly were the most punctual UK charter airlines at Newcastle during the winter 2007 / 08 season, both achieving excellent timekeeping. MyTravel had the lowest average delay while Thomsonfly had slightly better on-time performance.
