Charter flight punctuality at London Gatwick worsened slightly over the rolling year to date compared with the same period the previous year, with an average delay of 31 minutes and 64% on-time performance recorded.
Generally charter flights were slightly less punctual at Gatwick when compared with the UK average during the period.

Thomson Airways was the most punctual charter airline at London Gatwick during the summer 2010 season, with 71% on-time performance and an average delay of 22 minutes recorded.
Monarch Airlines followed in second position, recording slightly longer average delays at 29 minutes - close to average for charter flights at Gatwick.
Thomas Cook Airlines were in third position with relatively poor timekeeping - an average delay of 35 minutes and 63% on-time performance. 1 in 6 Thomas Cook charter flights at Gatwick were delayed by over an hour, close to double the proportion recorded for Thomson Airways flights.
Viking Airlines was the least punctual charter airline at the airport during the season, operating less than half of all flights on time and with the average flight operating nearly 50 minutes behind schedule.

Thomas Cook Airlines had the best punctuality among charter airlines at Gatwick during the winter 2009 / 10 season, with an average delay of 33 minutes and 67% on-time performance recorded.
Thomson Airways followed a close second with a longer average delay of 35 minutes and lower on-time performance of 63%, although the airline operated a slightly smaller proportion of flights over an hour late compared with Thomas Cook.
Monarch Airlines and Viking Airlines had the worst timekeeping at Gatwick during the season, with average delays of 41 minutes and 46 minutes respectively for these airlines. Viking operated slightly less than 50% of flights on-time over the winter at Gatwick.
