Punctuality of charter flights at London Gatwick airport during the year to March 2008 improved year-on-year, with Manchester airport replacing Gatwick as the least punctual for charter flights in the UK.
The average charter flight delay at Gatwick reduced from 32 minutes to 27 minutes and on-time performance increased from 61% to 63%.
Despite the improvement in punctuality, charter flights at Gatwick remained slightly less punctual than the UK average during the year.

Thomsonfly and MyTravel Airways had the best punctuality at Gatwick during the winter 2007 / 08 season, with an average delay of around 25 to 30 minutes recorded and on-time performance of 65% and 72% respectively for the airlines.
XL Airways, First Choice Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines followed with close to average puctuality at the airport, while Monarch Airlines and Astraeus had the poorest timekeeping during the season with on-time performance levels of 50% or less.
