Punctuality of charter flights at London Gatwick during 2005 dropped significantly compared with 2004, the average delay increasing to 32 minutes and only 62% on-time performance.
While this increase is in line with the pattern seen for charter flights at all UK reporting airports, charter flight punctuality at Gatwick was worse than the UK average in 2005.

MyTravel Airways, Thomas Cook Airlines and Monarch Airlines had poorer performance with flights operating on average 28 - 37 minutes behind schedule, but the poorest carriers, with average delays of 40 minutes or more, were Excel Airways, Astraeus and Flyjet.
