Charter flights at Glasgow Airport suffered significantly longer delays during the rolling year to date when compared with the same period the previous year, the average delay increasing from 20 to 33 minutes and on-time performance falling from 74% to 61%.
The delay profile of charter flights at the airport was slightly worse than the UK average during the period in almost all delay categories.

Thomson Airways charter flights had the best timekeeping at Glasgow during the summer 2010 season, with an average delay of 25 minutes and nearly 70% on-time performance recorded.
Thomas Cook Airlines followed with below average punctuality at the airport, an average delay of 38 minutes and 56% on-time performance affecting their flights.
A relatively small number of charter flights by Viking Airlines at Glasgow had the longest delays with around 1 in 4 flights delayed by over an hour during the season.

Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines were the only significant charter operators at Glasgow during the winter 2009 / 10 season, each recording a similar delay profile with the average flight operating around 22 to 24 minutes late and 69% to 72% on-time performance.
Thomson Airways flights came in first position with a slightly shorter average delay, while Thomas Cook flights achieved a higher on-time performance.
