Charter flight punctuality at Glasgow improved significantly during the year to date compared with the same period the previous year, the average delay reducing by nearly 40% from 32 minutes to 20 minutes and on-time performance increasing by over 12 percentage points from 62% to 74%.
Charter flights at Glasgow had a punctuality profile broadly similar to the UK average over the year to date.

Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines operated charter flights at Glasgow airport during the summer 2009 season, with similar on-time performance recorded for both airlines at 78-80%.
Thomson Airways flights recorded a shorter average delay at 15 minutes compared with 19 minutes for Thomas Cook, whose average was adversely affected by a higher proportion of long delays at Glasgow.

Thomas Cook Airlines was the most punctual UK charter airline during the winter 2008 / 09 season with an average delay of lesss than 17 minutes and 79% on-time performance recorded.
Thomson Airways followed with close to average punctuality at the airport, while the small number of flights operated by Monarch Airlines recorded the longest delays with nearly a third of flights held up by over an hour.
