Charter flights at Glasgow airport suffered an increase in delays during the year to June 2008 compared with the previous year, the average delay increasing from 24 minutes to 29 minutes and on-time performance dropping from 68% to 65%.
Charter flights at the airport had a punctuality profile broadly similar to the UK average during the year, having been better than average during the previous year.

The average charter flight at Glasgow operated nearly 32 minutes behind schedule during the first three months of the summer 2008 season, with overall on-time performance of 59% recorded, the worst punctuality seen at the airport since we began analysing records in 2003.
The small number of flights by Monarch Airlines recorded the shortest average delay at 26 minutes. Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomsonfly / First Choice followed with an average delay of between 30 and 31 minutes and around 60% on-time performance.
XL Airways had the worst timekeeping at Glasgow during the period, with the average flight delayed by nearly 50 minutes and nearly 1 in 10 flights held up in excess of three hours.

First Choice Airways and MyTravel Airways had very good punctuality at Glasgow during the winter 2007 / 08 season, recording average delays of less than 15 minutes and on-time performance of 75% to 80%.
XL Airways and Thomsonfly followed with close to average punctuality at the airport, while Thomas Cook Airlines and Monarch Airlines had the worst timekeeping at the airport during the season.
