Charter flights at Glasgow airport suffered a small increase in delays during 2007 compared with 2006, the average delay increasing from 25 minutes to 27 minutes and on-time performance remaining at 68%.

Charter flights at the airport had a punctuality profile broadly similar to the UK average during the year, having been slightly better than average during 2006.

First Choice Airways was the most punctual UK charter airline at Glasgow during the summer 2007 season, recording an average delay of 16 minutes and with 74% on-time performance.

Monarch Airlines and Thomsonfly followed in second and third position, with above-average performance at the airport in terms of average delay.

MyTravel Airways and XL Airways had an average delay close to the airport average at just over 25 minutes, but both airlines boasted above-average on-time performance in excess of 75% (with XL Airways in particular recording the highest OTP at the airport during the season).

Thomas Cook Airlines, the largest charter carrier at Glasgow during summer 2007, recorded an average delay of 32 minutes, with just 55% on-time performance, the poorest punctuality of the season at the airport.

First Choice Airways was the most punctual UK charter airline at Glasgow during the winter 2006 / 07 season with an average delay of 15 minutes.

MyTravel Airways was in second place, and actually recorded the highest on-time performance at the airport (82%), but had their average delay adversely affected by a higher proportion of longer delays.

Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomsonfly followed with average performance, while the worst carriers for punctuality were Monarch Airlines and XL Airways, although both carriers operated only a small number of flights at the airport during the season.
