Charter flights at Glasgow airport suffered a drop in punctuality during 2006 compared with 2005, the average delay increasing from 21 minutes to 25 minutes and on-time performance reducing from 72% to 68%.
Despite the increase in delays, charter flights at Glasgow were more punctual than the UK average during 2006.

First Choice Airways were the most punctual charter airline at Glasgow during the summer 2006 season with the average flight operating only 12 minutes behind schedule.
MyTravel Airways came in second position and despite having a slightly higher on-time performance at the airport then First Choice, their average delay was slightly impacted by a higher proportion of longer delays.
Thomsonfly achieved third position at Glasgow with close to average timekeeping, XL Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines followed with less than average punctuality. Monarch Airlines had the worst delays at Glasgow over the period, the average flight held up for 44 minutes and 1 in 5 flights delayed by over an hour. Significantly, the airline operated around 1 in 11 flights more than 3 hours late.
