Charter flights at Edinburgh airport saw improved punctuality during the year to date compared with the same period the previous year, the average delay reducing from 27 minutes to 24 minutes, with on-time performance increasing by six percentage points to 65%.
Compared with all UK reporting airports, Edinburgh charter flight punctuality was better than the national average during the year.

Only Monarch Airlines and Thomsonfly / First Choice operated a significant number of charter flights at Edinburgh during the summer 2008 season, with average delays of around 18 minutes recorded for both carriers.
Monarch Airlines flights had better on-time performance and a lower proportion of flights held up by over an hour compared with the relatively small number of flights operated by Thomsonfly / First Choice, though the average delay of Thomsonfly / First Choice flights was slightly lower.
