Charter flights at Edinburgh airport had slightly poorer punctuality during 2007 compared with 2006, the average delay increasing to 28 minutes and on-time performance dropping slightly from 63% to 59%.
Compared with all UK reporting airports, Edinburgh charter flight delays were higher than the national average dueing 2007, with the exception of delays in excess of three hours which were less common.

Monarch Airlines was the only charter airline operating a significant number of flights at Edinburgh over the 2007 summer season, with very good timekeeping demonstrated.
The airline recorded 77% on-time performance and an average delay of 14 minutes, the best performance for Monarch at any UK reporting airport during the season.
Additionally, a small number of charter flights were operated by First Choice Airways during the season, with low on-time performance at 25%, based on a small sample. Despite the low OTP, the vast majority of First Choice flights (93%) operated less than an hour late at the airport during the season, with an overall average delay of 28 minutes.

Very few charter flights operated at Edinburgh during the winter 2006 / 07 season, almost evenly split between MyTravel Airways and First Choice Airways.
Flights operated by MyTravel had better punctuality with an average delay of 18 minutes and 77% on-time performance, while First Choice flights were delayed on average by 28 minutes and had 49% on-time performance.
