Charter flights at Edinburgh airport suffered a drop in punctuality during 2006 compared with 2005, the average delay increasing from 23 minutes to 27 minutes and on-time performance reducing from 65% to 63%.
Despite the increase in delays, charter flights at Edinburgh were more punctual than the UK average during 2006.

While MyTravel Airways charter flights recorded the best punctuality at Edinburgh over the season, only Monarch Airlines operated a significant volume of charter flights at Edinburgh during summer 2006, with good punctuality demonstrated for these services.
First Choice had close to average punctuality performance for the small number of flights operated at the airport, while charter flights operated by Thomsonfly had poor punctuality with around 1 in 7 of these flights held up over an hour.
