The average charter flight at Birmingham airport was delayed by around 18 minutes, with 78% on-time performance during the summer 2007 season, the best performance seen for charter flights at any UK reporting airport.

MyTravel Airways had the best punctuality at the airport with 88% on-time performance and an average delay of less than 10 minutes.

Monarch Airlines, XL Airways and Thomsonfly also had good punctuality, with approximately 78% to 82% on-time performance and only around 1 in 20 flights delayed by over an hour.

Delays were longer for Thomas Cook Airlines and First Choice Airways, with 1 in 10 Thomas Cook charter flights delayed by over an hour.

MyTravel Airways had the best charter punctuality performance at Birmingham during the winter 2006 / 07 season, with the average flight delayed by only 9 minutes and an impressive 94% on-time performance.

This OTP represents a punctuality level never previously recorded by a charter airline at any UK reporting airport during any season since we began analysing records in 2002.

Runners up Monarch Airlines and First Choice Airways both had good timekeeping during the season, in the case of Monarch charter flights their Birmingham punctuality was arguably their only good performance of the winter 2006 / 07.

Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomsonfly had close to average punctuality at Birmingham, while XL Airways had the worst performance with an average delay of 34 minutes for the relatively small number of flights they operated at the airport during the season.
