Charter flight punctuality at Birmingham airport remained broadly similar during 2006 compared with the previous year, the average flight delayed by around 20 minutes and recording 74% overall on-time performance.
This remained comfortably above the UK average charter flight delay during the period.

MyTravel Airways, Thomas Cook Airlines and XL Airways all achieved good punctuality for charter services to and from Birmingham during the summer 2006 season, recording average delays of between 8 and 14 minutes, with on-time performance for MyTravel charter flights the highest at 90%.
First Choice Airways followed with good punctuality, while charter flights by Monarch Airlines and Thomsonfly had a poorer season, with average delays of around 22 minutes or more.

MyTravel Airways were the most punctual charter airline at Birmingham Airport over the winter 2005 / 06 season, with an impressive 92% of flights on-time and the average flight delayed by less than 5 minutes.
Thomas Cook, First Choice and Monarch Airlines all followed with good punctuality results, the only airline with a relatively poor performance being Thomsonfly with less than 70% on-time performance and 1 in 12 flights over an hour late.
