Over the summer 2004 season First Choice Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines achieved very good punctuality statistics for services to and from Birmingham, with average delays of 10 - 12 minutes, and more than 4 in 5 flights operating on-time.
Good performance was also demonstrated by Britannia Airways and Monarch Airlines while Excel Airways and MyTravel Airways had a poorer season with average delays of over 20 minutes and 1 in 10 flights delayed over an hour in the case of MyTravel.

Thomas Cook Airlines and Air 2000 (First Choice Airways) demonstrated excellent on-time performance from Birmingham over the Winter 2003 / 2004 period.
Average performance was seen for Britannia Airways, Monarch Airlines and MyTravel charter services to and from the airport, while the small number of flights by Excel Airways and Flyjet achieved poor performance with only around half of all services operating on time.
