XL Airways charter flight punctuality improved significantly during the year to date compared with the previous year, the average delay reducing by around a quarter from 40 minutes to 30 minutes, and on-time performance increasing from 60% to 69%. Also, around a quarter fewer flights were delayed by over an hour.
Relative to the UK average, XL charter flights had slightly better on-time performance over the year to date and a lower proportion of flights delayed in excess of an hour, however a higher proportion were delayed in excess of 3 hours compared with the average leading to a slightly higher average delay.
