The average XL charter flight operated 15 minutes late during the year, significantly better than the UK charter average of 20 minutes.

XL Airways charter flights demonstrated excellent punctuality during the summer 2003 season, the average flight operating only 14 minutes behind schedule and nearly 80% of flights operating on-time.
Flights at Birmingham, London Stansted, London Gatwick and Manchester had particularly good timekeeping, with slightly poorer punctuality seen at Newcastle and Glasgow.

The average XL Airways charter flight was delayed by 24 minutes during the winter 2002 / 2003 season, with 70% on-time performance.
The small number of flights analysed at Glasgow had good punctuality, with close to average timekeeping seen at London Gatwick and Manchester. A small number of flights at Birmingham during the season had the worst timekeeping for the airline, with long delays averaging over 50 minutes.
