The punctuality of XL Airways charter flights improved during 2002 compared with 2001, the average delay reducing by over 25% from 22 minutes to 16 minutes and on-time performance increasing by eight percentage points to 79%.
XL charter punctuality was better than the UK average in 2002.

Flights at Newcastle had a less punctual record, the average flight delayed by 36 minutes during the season.

XL charter flights at London Stansted and London Gatwick had good punctuality during the winter 2001 / 2002 season. Flights at Manchester followed with relatively good timekeeping, with only a small number of flights at Birmingham during the season demonstrating poor timekeeping.
