Thomsonfly & First Choice charter flight punctuality declined slightly during the year to date compared with the same period the previous year, the average flight delay increasing from 24 minutes to 25 minutes and on-time performance reducing from 70% to 66%, however the proportion of flights delayed by over three hours did fall slightly.
Thomsonfly & First Choice punctuality during the year to date remained better than the UK charter flight average.

Thomsonfly & First Choice charter flights were delayed by an average of 26 minutes during the first three months of the summer 2008 season, with 61% on-time performance recorded, making them the most punctual UK charter airline during the season to date.
Flights at London Luton and Newcastle had the best timekeeping, with average delays of less than 20 minutes and around 70% or more operating on time.
The worst punctuality for Thomsonfly & First Choice was recorded at London Gatwick and Glasgow airports, where less than 60% of flights operated on time and more than 1 in 10 flights were delayed by over an hour.
