Thomas Cook Airlines charter flight punctuality reduced significantly over the year to date compared to the same period the previous year, the average delay increasing by 71% from 21 minutes to 36 minutes and on-time performance falling by 13 percentage points to 63%.
Compared to the UK charter flight average, Thomas Cook Airlines charter flights had worse punctuality across all delay categories during the year to date.

Thomas Cook charter flights at Birmingham, Edinburgh, London Stansted and Newcastle airports had the best punctuality during the summer 2010 season, with average delays of around 25 minutes recorded.
London Gatwick followed with close to average punctuality for the airline at 35 minutes average delay and around 63% on-time performance.
The longest delays for the airline were recorded at Glasgow and Manchester, with on-time performance of only 57% to 58% recorded and around 1 in 5 flights delayed by over an our at these airports. At Manchester, the airline's largest base, a significant proportion of Thomas Cook flights were delayed by over three hours (1 in 17).

Thomas Cook Airlines was the most punctual UK charter airline during the winter 2009 / 10 season, with an average delay of 31 minutes and 68% on-time performance recorded.
Flights at London Stansted, Birmingham and Newcastle had the best punctuality for the airline, with over 76% on-time performance.
The majority of Thomas Cook flights were at London Gatwick and Manchester during the season. Punctuality was better at London Gatwick with 67% on-time performance, compared with 63% at London Gatwick.
