The average Thomas Cook charter flight was delayed by 31 minutes over the summer 2007 season, with 61% on-time performance.
This represents the poorest summer season performance for the airline since 2001, and a significant drop in timekeeping compared with the summer 2006 season when the airline was awarded as runner-up for punctuality.
Punctuality was better at London Stansted, London Luton, Birmingham and London Gatwick, but poor at Manchester in particular where the airline operated a large proportion of charter flights over the season to date and only 56% on-time performance was achieved.
At Manchester nearly 1 in 5 Thomas Cook charter flights operated over an hour late.
