Thomas Cook charter flight punctuality improved in 2003 compared with 2002 in all delay categories, except the level of delays in excess of 1 hour which saw a slight increase.
The general trend for punctuality across all UK charter flights was also for an improvement in timekeeping year-on-year, but Thomas Cook punctuality remained well above the UK average in 2003.

Thomas Cook Airlines were the most punctual UK charter airline during the summer 2003 season, with an average delay recorded of 11.9 minutes, the shortest average delay ever seen in our results for a summer season since we began analysing records in 2001. 84% of Thomas Cook charter flights were on time during the season, and less than 1 in 20 flights was delayed by over an hour.
Thomas Cook flights at all UK reporting airports had good punctuality, particularly at Newcastle where 92% on-time performance was recorded.

Thomas Cook flights at all UK reporting airports recorded good punctuality, but London Gatwick and Newcastle had the longest delays.
