The punctuality of Thomas Cook charter flights saw a dramatic improvement in 2002 compared with the previous year, the average delay dropping by 60% and on-time performance increasing from 63% to over 81% year-on-year.
This improvement was consistent with a general rise in punctuality across all UK charter flights, but having been close to the UK average in 2001 Thomas Cook charter flights in 2002 had far better punctuality than the UK average.

Longer delays were seen at London Gatwick and for the small number of flights operated at London Stansted during the period.
