Monarch Airlines charter flight punctuality improved significantly over the year to date compared to the same period the previous year, the average delay reducing by 29% from 33 minutes to 23 minutes and on-time performance increasing by 6 percentage points to 68%.
Compared to the UK charter flight average, Monarch Airlines charter flights had worse punctuality across all delay categories during the year to date.

Monarch charter flights at Birmingham had the best punctuality during the summer 2011 season with an average delay of just 9 minutes and an impressive 90% on-time performance recorded.
Flights at London Gatwick followed with better than average punctuality for the airline, while flights at Manchester and London Luton had the longest delays, at close to 30 minutes on average.
On average, Monarch charter flights were delayed by 22 minutes during the season with 71% of services operating on time.

Monarch Airlines charter flights were delayed by an average of 36 minutes with 55% on-time performance during the winter 2010 / 11 season. A relatively small number of flights at London Stansted and London Luton had the best punctuality.
Monarch charter flights at London Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester had longer delays of between 36 minutes and 38 minutes on average, with the longest hold-ups seen at Manchester where nearly 1 in 5 Monarch charter flights operated over an hour late during the season.
