During the 2007 summer season, Monarch Airlines was the most improved UK charter airline for punctuality.

This award is presented in recognition of the large improvement in punctuality year-on-year demonstrated by the carrier.
At airport level for the same period, Monarch Airlines was the most punctual UK charter airline at Edinburgh, and was runner-up UK charter airline for punctuality at Birmingham and Glasgow.

The punctuality of Monarch Airlines charter flights improved significantly during 2007 compared with 2006, the average delay reducing by nearly 30% from 42 minutes to 30 minutes and on-time performance increasing by four percentage points to 60%.
Despite the improvement, the 2007 punctuality profile for the airline was slightly poorer than the UK charter flight average, with the excption of flights delayed by over 3 hours which was the same as the UK average.

Monarch charter flights were delayed by an average of 27 minutes during the summer 2007 season, with 62% on-time performance.
This represents a significant improvement in timekeeping for the airline, such punctuality having not been seen for Monarch charter flights since summer 2003.
Good punctuality was seen at Edinburgh and Birmingham airports, with above-average punctuality at London Luton, London Stansted and Glasgow, while delays at Newcastle, London Gatwick and Manchester were higher, adversely affecting the overall average delay for the airline.

Monarch charter flights recorded a high average delay of nearly 46 minutes during the winter 2006 / 07 season, the poorest winter punctuality recorded for the airline since we began anlysing records in 2002.
Punctuality was good at Birmingham but other UK reporting airports had poorer timekeeping, London Gatwick and Manchester in particular where the average Monarch charter flight was delayed by around 50 minutes and in the case of Gatwick 1 in 5 flights operated over an hour late.
