Monarch charter flights had an average delay of 31 minutes during the winter 2004 / 2005 season, with less than 60% on-time performance and more than 1 in 8 flights delayed over an hour. This is slightly worse performance than both the previous winter and summer season. While good punctuality was seen at Birmingham Airport, with an average delay of 15 minutes and 78% on-time performance, timekeeping is much poorer at Manchester and London Gatwick, where the majority of Monarch charter flights operate.
The small number of services at London Stansted suffered the longest delays.
