Flyjet charter flight punctuality remained broadly similar during 2007 compared with 2006, the average delay standing at 59 minutes, with 56% on-time performance.

The proportion of flights delayed extensively, by over 3 hours, did reduce slightly year-on-year.

This performance was significantly poorer than the UK average charter flight punctuality during 2007.

Flyjet charter flights at Manchester airport had a lower average delay than those at Newcastle during the summer 2007 season, while on-time performance was better at Newcastle.

A high proportion of flights was delayed by over an hour, with nearly 1 in 5 flights affected at both airports (twice the UK average). The airline finished at the bottom of the delay league table for the season for the 5th consecutive summer.

Note: A small number of flights to and from London Gatwick (6) and Glasgow (2) were not analysed.

Flyjet only operated charter flights at Newcastle during the winter 2006 / 07 season, with an average delay of 40 minutes recorded and 57% on-time performance, poorer than most other charter carriers at the airport.
