First Choice Airways charter flights showed an improvement in punctuality year-on-year in all delay categories during 2005, except on-time performance (within 15 mins) which suffered a slight drop.
The general year-on-year trend for all UK charter flights in 2005 was for a reduction in punctuality and the First Choice data shows far better punctuality than the UK average.

First Choice Airways were the most punctual charter airline analysed over the summer 2005 season, with the average flight running less than 17 minutes late and only 1 in 17 flights operating in excess of 1 hour late.
Performance was good at all analysed airports, except London Gatwick and Manchester where poorer performance had an adverse effect on the overall delay figure for the airline, but in both cases the carrier was still the most punctual of all analysed UK charter airlines. First Choice were also the most punctual charter airline analysed at Birmingham and Edinburgh over the season.

Punctuality of First Choice Airways flights dropped in the winter 2004 / 2005 season, following good performance for the carrier since summer 2003.
The average flight was delayed over 19 minutes, though when examining punctuality data at airport level significant variation can be seen.
The best First Choice punctuality was at London Luton, where the average flight was delayed less than 9 minutes and First Choice was the most punctual analysed charter airline of the season, followed by Birmingham (10 minutes).
Services at Glasgow airport also had good punctuality, where the carrier was also the most punctual analysed charter airline of the season.
The poorest punctuality was at Edinburgh, where the average flight was delayed by 35 minutes. The overall average delay was most significantly affected by poor timekeeping at London Gatwick, where First Choice operated the most flights during the season. Here the average flight was delayed by 24 minutes, although this was (astonishingly) the best performance of any analysed charter airline at the airport during summer 2005.
