Summer 2003 was a good season for Air 2000 punctuality, with the average flight delayed over 4 minutes less than during the Summer 2002 period and the proportion of flights delayed over an hour having fallen from 1 in 15 flights to less than 1 in 20 this Summer.
Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester and London Luton featured as the most punctual UK airports over the Summer for the airline, while Glasgow and London Stansted were at the bottom of the table despite a better proportion of on-time performance in 2003 for these airports.
Manchester saw a significant improvement with half as many flights held up over an hour when compared to the Summer period in 2002.

Birmingham was the most punctual UK airport for Air 2000 over the Winter 2002 / 2003 season with average delays less than 10 minutes and less than 1 in 40 flights delayed over an hour.
Manchester and London Gatwick, where the airline operates the majority of it’s Winter flights, had poor performance with average delays over 20 minutes and more than 1 in 12 flights held up over an hour.
This adversely affected the general average for the carrier over this period leading to an average delay of almost 22 minutes, less than 70% on-time performance and around 1 in 12 flights held up over an hour.
