In all delay categories Astraeus charter flights during 2005 had poorer punctuality performance when compared with 2004, and poorer punctuality performance than for all UK charter flights at reporting airports over the period.

The average Astraeus charter flight was delayed 38 minutes with 1 in 6 flights held up over an hour, compared with 27 minutes and 1 in 10 flights respectively for 2004.

Astraeus flights saw poor punctuality performance during the summer 2005 season, with the average flight operating nearly 40 minutes behind schedule. This represents the worst punctuality performance recorded for the airline since operations commenced in 2002, and is largely a result of poor punctuality at London Gatwick, where nearly 1 in 5 services was over an hour behind schedule.

Astraeus had very similar punctuality performance in the winter 2004 / 2005 season as in the previous winter season, with slight improvements at both London Gatwick and Manchester airports. The trend of a better punctuality performance for the carrier in the summer season compared with the following winter season, seen in 2003 / 2004, was repeated.
